What does the abbreviation 'PAWW' mean?

Some employees have something extra on their pay slip: PAWW, or ‘Private Aanvulling WW & WGA’. In that case, you participate in the PAWW scheme as an employee. This insures you against long-term unemployment or disability. This gives you some extra time and space to find a suitable job and thus the resilience to get back to work.
